All students come to the library at least once a week for a library lesson and book check out. Students who forget their books on the day of their book check out are allowed to return to library the following day to complete their check out. While students are encouraged to check out books that will fill their week with reading, our library is always open and students are welcome to return for new books as needed at any time during the week.
How many books can be checked out?
Kindergarten - 1 book
1st Grade - 2 books
2nd Grade - 2 books
3rd Grade - 3 books
4th Grade - 3 books
How long can students keep books? What happens when books are overdue?
Books checked out to Kindergarten through fourth grade students are due back in two weeks. Books may be renewed one time if needed. Students who have a book or books that are overdue for more than a month will not be allowed to check out anything new until their overdue books are returned.
What happens when a book is lost or damaged?
If a book is lost or damaged and no longer usable, families will be asked to submit payment so the book can be replaced in the library. If a lost book is found and returned in usable condition after payment, a refund will be given.
Library Class Schedule
Teachers, you are welcome to schedule additional times for your class to visit the library for research lessons, book buddies, STEAM activities, break out boxes, or other activities of your choice. We want to support you in any way we can!Â
