Most of the time you do not have to pay in full up front. There are so many deals out there, programs, flex pays, and many ways to pay for your vacation. So don't get discouraged if you think you have to pay all this upfront.
If you're taking a cruise, they normally require full payment 90 days prior to sail date. If you book before the 90 days, it's usually a small deposit. Sometimes as low as $50 per person.
Disney vacations only require a $200 deposit on a multi-night pacakge. Ticket only reservations or those staying less than 2-3 nights will require all upfront, or the price of 1 night stay.
Passports are always the recommended travel document. However, it is not required.
If you're over 18 years of age, and an American citizen, then you only need a Drivers License (Or State Issued ID) and a copy of your birth certificate.
Transportation is not included unless otherwise notated. Most do not provide free transportation.
