If you want a wired, professional-grade studio monitor built for precise mixing and durable DJ performance, choose Hercules HDP DJ45; if you need long battery life, wireless freedom, and active noise cancellation for daily calls and travel, choose Monster Persona 4th.
• Hercules HDP DJ45: Delivers exceptional sound isolation with a closed-back design and features a unique spiral cable that extends up to 2 meters, ideal for mobile DJs; however, it is strictly wired, lacks modern Bluetooth connectivity, and offers no active noise cancellation.
• Monster Persona 4th: Boasts an impressive 70-hour battery life and active noise cancellation that blocks out ambient chatter during calls, yet it trades the rugged metal construction of the Hercules for lighter plastic materials and lacks the specialized pivoting earpieces for one-ear monitoring.
• Who it's for: The Hercules is for the performer who needs reliability and zero latency in a live setting, while the Monster is for the commuter or remote worker who prioritizes call clarity and wireless convenience above all else.
The Hercules HDP DJ45 is engineered with a singular purpose: to serve as a reliable tool for professionals who demand absolute control over their audio environment. Its closed-back, circumaural design is not just a style choice but a functional necessity for sound isolation. By encircling your ears completely, these headphones create a physical barrier against outside noise, ensuring that what you hear is exactly what is being mixed or performed. This makes them an excellent choice for environments where background noise could ruin a take or disrupt a mix. The soft padding on the earpieces and headband ensures that even during long sessions, the pressure remains comfortable, resting against your head without causing pain or fatigue.
For anyone looking for sleep headphones for calls or a headset for calls where silence is golden, this model offers a different kind of silence—acoustic isolation rather than electronic processing. The 60-ohm impedance means they can drive powerful sound from almost any source, whether it is a high-end mixer or a portable player, without requiring excessive volume to get a full experience. The standout feature here is the spiral cable. Unlike standard cords that tangle or limit movement, this cable stretches from 1 meter to over 2 meters. This flexibility frees the user to move around the stage or booth without worrying about the cord pulling or getting caught. The rotating earpieces are another critical detail for DJs; they allow you to swivel one side to monitor a track while keeping the other plugged into your mix, a technique essential for seamless transitions.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are searching for the best bluetooth headphones for calls, the Hercules HDP DJ45 will not meet your needs because it lacks wireless capability entirely. It relies solely on a 3.5 mm jack (with a 1/4 inch adapter included), meaning you must be tethered to your device. There is no battery to charge, which eliminates the anxiety of running out of power mid-call, but it also means you cannot use it wirelessly on a plane or while commuting. The build quality leans heavily on durability, using metal and plastic components designed to withstand the rigors of touring, but the lack of active noise cancellation means you rely entirely on the passive seal of the ear cups. If you need to block out the roar of a jet engine or the hum of an office, this headphone depends on how well it fits your ears rather than a digital chip doing the work.
The Monster Persona 4th ANC steps into the arena as a modern powerhouse designed for the connected lifestyle. Its primary strength lies in its ability to provide a clean, uninterrupted audio experience regardless of your surroundings. With Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) built-in, it actively works to cancel out low-frequency droning sounds like airplane engines or traffic noise, making it a top contender for those seeking the best headset for calls in noisy environments. The inclusion of three EQ modes allows users to tailor the sound signature to their preference, ensuring deep bass when needed or a balanced profile for clear voice transmission. The lightweight construction, weighing only 0.2 kg, contrasts sharply with heavier studio monitors, making it comfortable enough to wear for extended periods during long conference calls or flights.
Battery life is where this model truly shines. A single two-hour charge provides an average of 70 hours of playtime, a figure that dwarfs most competitors in the market. This means you can go weeks without plugging in a charger, making it the ultimate companion for travelers or those who simply hate the hassle of constant charging. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity ensures a stable connection with a range of up to 33 feet, allowing you to leave your phone in one room and walk across the house without losing signal. The foldable design and leather ear cushions add to the portability and comfort, fitting easily into the included carrying case. For someone asking about sleep headphones for calls, the combination of ANC and long battery life suggests a device that can handle overnight listening or long-haul communication sessions without breaking a sweat.
Despite its many advantages, there are trade-offs to consider. The material composition is primarily leather and plastic, which, while comfortable, may not offer the same level of rugged durability as the metal-heavy construction of the Hercules. It is designed for comfort and portability rather than surviving the rough-and-tumble of a club or festival floor. Additionally, while the wireless freedom is liberating, it introduces the possibility of latency issues depending on the codec used, which might be a concern for audio purists who need perfect synchronization between video and audio. The controls are managed via push buttons, which is straightforward but lacks the tactile feedback of some dedicated hardware. Ultimately, this product is for the person who values convenience and silence over the raw, unfiltered fidelity and mechanical durability of a wired studio monitor.
