I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Chile, an Associate Researcher at the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María), and an Invited Researcher at the Complex Engineering Systems Institute. Previously, I was a Graduate Research Assistant in the Predictive Analytics & Intelligent Systems (PAIS) Research Group at Georgia Institute of Technology, supervised by Prof. Nagi Gebraeel, and an Assistant Researcher at NASA’s Habitat Optimized for Missions of Exploration Space Technology Research Institute (HOME STRI).
My research focuses on developing methodologies that transform data into actionable decisions for industrial applications, including predictive maintenance, spare parts logistics, electromobility, lithium-ion batteries, and power systems. My work integrates predictive analytics and data-driven optimization to support informed decision-making across these domains, using techniques such as stochastic programming, robust optimization, and distributionally robust optimization. Additionally, I conduct research on fault diagnostics and prognostics using machine learning, statistical, and model-based methods.
