Instrumental Music Lessons at HEPS

Learning music is a wonderful opportunity that is not offered at every primary school. HEPS is very fortunate to have multiple instrumental teachers offering tuition for a variety of instruments.

What musical instruments are available to students?

The instruments on offer for 2024 are:

electric and acoustic guitar

bass guitar

voice

ukulele

piano/keyboard

flute

Lesson Details

Each instrumental teacher at HEPS works as a sole trader and therefore lesson prices will vary between teachers. Information regarding cost will be shared once an instrumental teacher contacts the families of prospective students.

Lessons vary between 20 and 40 minutes. Most lessons are done on a one-to-one basis as we believe this creates a more valuable lesson experience.

Lessons are run during class time and a timetable is agreed upon at the start of each term. Instrumental lessons are not held during specialist classes.

Choosing an Instrument

A great place to start is with your child's interest or passion for a particular instrument. There are several other factors to be mindful of such as versatility or instrument size. To find out more, take a look at the information provided by Music Australia at this link.

In the event that student demand exceeds places available, a waiting list will be formed for that instrument. All applications are processed in order of receipt of enrolments.
