My name is Heonyeol (Paul) Jeong, and I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Finance at the University of Connecticut School of Business, expected to graduate in 2027. I will be on the job market for the 2026-2027 academic year.

My research lies at the intersection of corporate finance, private equity, political economy, emerging markets, and initial public offerings. I study how private market participants’ political engagement, informational advantages, and specialization shape financing and investment decisions, with implications for investor performance, portfolio companies, and local economic development.

I received an M.S. in Corporate Finance from Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Inha University.
