I provide academic support for students K-12 in areas of SAT, Math, and Physics. My students find that I am engaging, caring, and supportive. I am able to listen and put myself in their shoes. This helps me identify their weaknesses and provide guidance and resources to help them achieve success.

As a recent high school graduate, I am all too familiar with the stress and anxiety students face in high school. Standardized testing, AP classes, extracurriculars, college applications. You name it. I help these students crush it on the SAT and in their Math and Physics classes.

My Approach

Below you will find an outline of my approach to achieving success with my students. This is a general approach and changes for each student. Some clients prefer a more casual program and others a more intensive program. I understand that each student is different and will tailor my approach accordingly.

Introduction and Goal Setting

In the introductory session, I will work with you and your child to identify main topics we wish to target in our program. I am a firm believer in knowing your ‘why’ for doing anything. We will establish your child’s ‘why’ for tutoring so that they have something to fall back on when things get difficult. Further, I also gain a better understanding of what you are trying to get out of our program together.

Content and Practice

Depending on what we decide in the introductory meeting, sessions we be a mix of content coverage and practice. The content for each lesson will be tailored to your child. This can include review lectures, demonstrations, and practical advice. Practice will be supervised hand-picked questions to target your child’s weaknesses. After they attempt the problem, I will provide my commentary on the good, the bad, and how they can improve.

Homework

Some clients elect for me to assign homework (usually for SAT or PSAT). Homework will also be hand-picked questions from a variety of resources which are FREE to you through your program with me. If you have a textbook already purchased, I am happy to work out of that, but this is not necessary. I will grade all homework which we will review at the start of every session.

Reflection and Goal Adjustment

After a test day or major milestone, I like to ask my students to reflect on aspects of how time was spent in and out of sessions to analyze what was helpful and what wasn't. This is helpful feedback for them to adjust their approach but also helpful feedback for me to adjust mine in providing the best service possible.

Pricing and Logistics

My rates are based off a variety of factors, including subject material, number of students (group sessions), sessions per week, length of sessions, scheduling, commute, and special requests/accommodations.

In our first session, we will discuss a routine time to meet whether that be multiple times a week, once a week, once a month, etc. I am flexible and can change timing and dates if needed but changes are subject to the below policies.

Policies

In-person clients outside of a 20-minute drive of Royersford are subject to a higher rate
Zelle is preferred for payment, but Venmo, PayPal, Check, or Cash is also accepted.

Cancellation

Lessons cancelled more than 24 hours in advance: No charge.
Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours in advance: $15 fee
- Didn't communicate cancellation (no show): $20 fee after 10 minutes
Frequent cancellations may result in a higher rate or termination of the program.

On-Demand Sessions

Sessions scheduled less than 24 hours in advance: $10/hour added to the normal rate.

Late and Early Departure

Students who show up late or leave early will be charged the full price of the scheduled time
