Howard, or Bill as he was known to some, was born May 9, 1909 in Grant, Indiana, Pennsylvania to Samuel Ellsworth Henry and Laura Alice Gaston Henry. He was the youngest of nine children born to his parents.

Howard (age 11 mos) appears in the 1910 census with his family in Grant, Indiana, Pennsylvania. Samuel's brother Asa also lives with the family. Samuel was a farmer, farming land that he rented. He was listed as able to read but not write. Laura could both read and write.

After many hours of searching multiple sources, the Henry family could not be found in the 1930 census. I searched ALL of Indiana County one page at a time. No kidding.

Howard married Edith Grace Kanarr on September 26, 1936 in Wellsburg, Brooke, West Virginia by Rev. Joel L Wade. Howard was 27 and Edith was 22.

Howard died suddenly in his home November 23, 1972 after spending Thanksgiving with his family in Armstrong, Indiana, Pennsylvania. Services were held November 27, 1972 at Robinson-Lytle's and Howard was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
