About

I am working as a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at Uppsala University in Sweden for the fall semester of 2023 and the spring semester of 2024. During that time, I am on leave from a postdoc at the University of Tübingen in Germany, awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2022. I received my Ph.D. from Uppsala University in 2019 with the dissertation In Virtue of - Determination, Dependence, and Metaphysically Opaque Grounding. Inbetween, I have been a fixed-term lecturer at Uppsala and Tübingen, and have held a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the latter institution.

My work generally focuses on some of the hyperintensional phenomena that structure our world, such as grounding, essence, ontological dependence, building, and causation. I am particularly interested in the nature of these phenomena and the way they are (or fail to be) interconnected with one another. I also have interests in metaethics and the philosophy of language.

When I'm not doing philosophy, I enjoy cross-country skiing and collecting weird guitar pedals.
