Our research has found that South Asian women are at the greatest risk for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases due to lifestyle, diet and even genetics. Henna Health's purpose is to advocate for South Asian women's health in the western world, educate youngsters and older South Asian women, provide and create opportunities for low income minorities around the world. 

We are looking for high achieving low income minority women who understand their ability to change the world and possess the following qualities:

- consistent 

- is taking academically challenging courses

- has passion

- curious 

- demonstrated leadership 

- hard working 

- punctual 

All teams:

- must maintain a volunteering log where they log their tasks 

- each member will be receiving 100 volunteering hours in the end, unless specified otherwise. 

- this log must be submitted in order to receive volunteering hours 

- submit all work in time 

- every team will have a "Best Talent" who will receive the opportunity to receive a Letter of Recommendation or additional 30 volunteering hours. 

 Failure to comply with rules and due dates will result in expulsion, deduction of volunteering hours, and demotion.

Depending on your position, and team, you will contribute about 2-4 hours of work on Henna Health. If you applied for a lead position, and didn't get it, we will put you in a regular position. The following teams are:

Director of Management:

- in charge of resolving conflicts between members 

- oversees all tasks and corrects mistakes 

- is supportive to all members 

- in charge of hosting member meetings 

- will be working closely with the founder

- giving working hours to other members

- reminding other members about due dates

The Researcher Team: (positions include Lead Researcher and Researchers)

- must submit at least 2 pages of research every week (2 pages per member)

- Lead Researcher researches and writes at least 1 page worth of research everyday.  

- Research will primarily focus on health issues/prevention/prevalence/awareness in South Asian women. However, the research MUST be health related. 

The Graphics Design Team: (Lead Graphic Designer and Graphic Designer) 

- very familiar with Canva 

- Lead Graphic Designer must turn in at least one graphic design post for Instagram every day. 

- Graphic Designers must turn in 2 graphic designs posts for Instagram every week. 

- The graphics must be appropriate and follow the branding of Henna Health which is beige minimal with black fonts. 

- If the design isn't worth posting, it will be discarded. 

The Outreach Team (Lead Outreach-er and Outreach-er)

- will be in close contact with other organizations for projects and collaborations 

- main focus will be getting more likes and followers on Instagram

- a threshold will be given to them, example: 50 followers every week, if they cannot reach it even after a few months, the entire team will be dismissed and a new team will replace them promptly. 

- in charge of cold-emailing doctors and professors for collaboration.

- in charge of cold emailing South Asian female influencers and women to promote our posts 

The Gen Z Team (Innovators) 

- This is a brand new team idea that was created by our founder.

- Are you someone who hates being confined in boring positions and would much rather independently create ideas for us? 

- In charge of creating new projects, events, webinars, and workshops

- Each member must submit a proposal about a new project every week. 

- Example- mentorship programs, research programs, internships, collaboration with another organization

- Failure to submit a new proposal is immediate dismissal from the team. 

- In charge of building on our already established programs like SAMAH.
