Team Mission

Hendersonville Speech and Debate is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills through competitive speech and debate at both the middle and high school levels. We recognize the importance of utilizing our skills to give back to the community. Our mission is to prepare students to become productive, engaged, and socially aware citizens in a global society. We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse community for all students.

Unlike traditional approaches to speech and debate, Hendersonville Speech and Debate emphasizes a community-based program rather than individual teams. By integrating students from Hendersonville's middle and high schools, we promote a cohesive and collaborative environment. Established in 2024, Hendersonville Speech and Debate began at the middle school level with Hawkins Middle School and Ellis Middle School, setting the foundation for our unique community program.
