Hello, my name is Lt. Col. Henderson “Karl” Smith III, USAF, Retired, and I am the founder of Henderson Aviation Resources, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping future aviators pursue their dreams through scholarships, donations, mentorship, educational programs, and aviation resources.

As a former United States Air Force aviator, I have been blessed to experience the power of aviation firsthand. I also had the honor of knowing Tuskegee Airmen Major Lewis J. Lynch and Gill Cargill, two men whose lives, service, and encouragement had a lasting impact on my military career, personal growth, and lifelong passion for aviation.

Their example inspired me to follow my dream to fly, serve, and see the world. To honor their memory, their legacy, and the legacy of all Tuskegee Airmen, I established Henderson Aviation Resources to help young people discover opportunities in aviation and aerospace.

Our goal is to open doors, provide resources, and inspire the next generation of pilots, aircraft mechanics, engineers, air traffic controllers, drone operators, and aviation professionals.

Through Henderson Aviation Resources, we are committed to keeping the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen alive while helping young people understand that the sky is not the limit — it is just the beginning.

Henderson Aviation Resources, Inc. is dedicated to inspiring and empowering future aviators, aerospace professionals, and STEM leaders through aviation education, mentorship, discovery flights, career exposure, and community partnerships.

We are committed to expanding access to aviation opportunities, especially for underserved youth, while honoring the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and inspiring the next generation to rise higher.
