Since I was 6, I started to learn violin. Beside studying music in fine arts school and then in music conservatoire in Austria and Turkey and performing in many orchestras, after almost 11 years of learning and performing the violin, I started doing various research projects and studies about authentic educational methods and standards throughout the world. After several months of studying, I came across ABRSM structures and goals which I found to be in harmony with my ideals in the field of music pedagogy. I then started my educational activities as a violin and viola pedagogue in compliance with the standards of the Royal Schools of Music in the UK and the international ABRSM exam board.
When it comes to the violin and viola, I love to teach the essence of good technique, the knowledge of the ‘why’ behind music (i.e. theory), ear training, rhythm and reading skills, memorization of a wide repertoire from the great composers, and efficient practice time. But most importantly, the goal of my approach is to make sure that students are thoroughly enjoying the violin and viola!
There is something special about teaching, and it is truly an honor for me to be able to pass on my knowledge and skills to others who can then share their own talents with the world.
