KvantaLab, the Quantum Simulation and Data Science Lab, part of Iceland’s National Competence Center for High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), is dedicated to quantum computing and quantum technologies. Partly funded by the EuroCC/EuroCC2 project.

Our research aims to push the boundaries of science by using advanced technologies like quantum computing and AI to solve complex problems. This includes driving innovation in quantum algorithms for chemistry and materials science, as well as exploring quantum cryptography.

[Spring 2024-2025] I will be teaching "Quantum Computing and Quantum Cryptography" elective (regular) course as a part of the cybersecurity master's program.
[Spring 2023-2024] Taught a new reading course on Skammtadulritun (Quantum Cryptography; TÖL113F) for master's computer science students.
[11th Feb 2025] Organized IUPAC's Global Women's Breakfast (GWB) / Women in Science 2025. This year’s GWB theme is "Accelerating Equity in Science". The Global Breakfast is designed to support the United Nations Day of Women and Girls in Science. In 2025, the GWB will also be a key part of the Celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.
