Hemali Parmar is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English at the Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at Nandkuvarba Mahila College, Bhavnagar, where she built a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical theory, and interdisciplinary approaches to literature. Her academic journey began at Sardar Patel Educational Institute, Kaliyabid, Bhavnagar, where she first developed an interest in literature’s deeper intellectual and cultural dimensions.
Her research primarily focuses on Indian English literature, with a keen interest in its intersections with postcolonial studies, feminist literary criticism, comparative literature, and ecocriticism. She is particularly engaged in examining how Indian English literature reflects and challenges sociopolitical structures, environmental concerns, and gender dynamics. Through her work, she explores narratives that resist dominant discourses, giving voice to alternative perspectives and contributing to a broader understanding of literature’s role in shaping cultural and social thought.
