At H.E.L.P., meaningful change begins with honest conversations and shared understanding. Community engagement creates spaces where people can reflect, learn, and grow together.
What
Through strategic conversations, educational discussions, and community gatherings, we explore topics such as accountability, healing from adversity, youth development, and generational change.
Who
These conversations are designed for community members, families, youth, leaders, and anyone committed to building healthier and stronger communities.
Live 5 News – WCSC Channel 5
H.E.L.P. and the ACEs Healing Institute were invited to Live 5 News to discuss Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, and the impact generational trauma has on individuals, families, and communities.
During the interview, we shared how the A.I.R. of Life Blueprint Framework (Accountability, Integrity, and Responsibility) helps people understand trauma and begin the healing process.
This conversation represents an important step in bringing trauma-informed awareness to the broader community.
Executive Director Irene Huger and Community Outreach Director Angelique Picnkney joined the Live 5 News team for a conversation focused on education, healing, and prevention.
The interview highlighted:
• What ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) are
• How trauma travels through generations
• How communities can interrupt the cycle
• The role of the ACEs Healing Institute and the Blueprint Framework
Following the interview, Live 5 News expressed interest in producing a feature story on the work of H.E.L.P., signaling growing community recognition of this mission.
These gatherings create space for honest dialogue, shared experiences, and community reflection. Through conversation and connection, individuals begin exploring pathways toward healing, accountability, and growth.
Young Entrprenuer Fair Spring 2026
Young Entrepreneurs Fair Spring 2026
The Young Entrepreneurs Fair brought together youth, families, community partners, and local first responders for a day of creativity, encouragement, and community engagement. Young entrepreneurs had the opportunity to showcase their gifts, products, and business ideas while being supported by parents, volunteers, and neighbors. We were grateful to have the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department and the Pimlico Fire Department present, helping create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment while engaging with families and encouraging our youth. This event reflected H.E.L.P.’s commitment to building strong community connections, supporting young leaders, and showing children that their dreams are worth investing in.
H.E.L.P. & MUSC
The collaboration between H.E.L.P. and MUSC reflects a shared commitment to understanding trauma, supporting community healing, and building stronger pathways for families and individuals affected by adversity.
Together, we explore conversations and initiatives that bridge lived experience with professional insight to strengthen community well-being.
