HelpSathi respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our SOS application (“HelpSathi”). By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
No data is collected by the App for the developer or for any server hired by the developer.
We use your information solely for:
Sending alerts to your chosen emergency contacts when you trigger the SOS feature.
Sharing your real-time location with those contacts (if enabled by you).
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
The App may request the following Android permissions:
Location Access (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Used only to include your GPS coordinates in the SOS message.
SMS Access (SEND_SMS): Used only to send emergency SOS messages to contacts selected by the user.
Accessibility Service Access (AccessibilityService API): Used only to detect triple-pressing of the volume button to trigger SOS alerts. HelpSathi does not read screen content or perform any automated actions.
These permissions are used strictly for the SOS functionality.
All contact information is stored locally on your device.
Only location data (along with your predefined message) is sent to your predefined contacts via SMS.
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
The App does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising tools. If future updates include such services, this policy will be updated.
You may:
Access or update your personal information within the App.
Delete stored information by uninstalling the App.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new “Effective Date.”
