Helping Hands Tuition Yangon provides assistance in many different forms, from online sessions to at home private lessons. Tuition is totally customizable, so the list of different tuition experiences is pretty lengthy. A summary of the key types of tuition offered are below.
Face-to-Face Tuition
One of the most common forms is face-to-face tuition. If you choose to have private face-to-face tuition or Special Assistance sessions you can choose to have the tutor come to your home. But these lessons can also be arranged at the Tuition Center or a different location such as a local library, if necessary. These private lessons are flexible, can take place as frequently or infrequently as required, and can be tailored to meet your child's specific needs. Small Group Face-to-Face Sessions will take place where the group members decide. however Online Tuition is not an option.
Online Tuition
Online tuition is essentially identical to private face-to-face tuition except it’s online (duh)! This is a great option for you if your child has a really hectic schedule- as it is even more flexible than face-to-face tuition. If you you choose online tutoring your child can study from anywhere.
Helping Hands Tuition Yangon operates out of the cozy cafe/lounge, Burma Blender Bike. It's definitely not the traditional place you would expect tuition lessons to take place. However, it is a quiet, relaxed intimate environment that provides a comfortable space that feels more like 'home' than a traditional sterile learning center. And after your child's tuition lesson he/she is welcome to explore the space and play a game, read a book, or watch a movie. There is plenty of room for you to enjoy a healthy smoothie, delicious mocktail, and/or a sweet or savory bite if you care to relax and wait for your child to complete the lesson. All of the activities are free of charge to use, there is an option for additional charge to add a 'Student Study Snack' for your child enjoy after his/her tuition session
Helping Hands Tuition Yangon is owned and operated by an educator who has 24 years of experience teaching students in primary and lower secondary schools in The United States, Middle East, and South East Asia. Since 2016 he has lived and worked at several well-known international schools in Yangon.
Michael Allen
Owner/Tutor
I am experienced, well-trained, and dedicated to fostering the love of learning in students. I create unique reading/writing programs that combine a whole-language approach with a phonics/skill based methodology. Hands-on investigations are used to make science concepts engaging and accessible. I strive to make social studies 'come to life' through interactive learning experiences. My mathematic instruction centers on activities that require students to 'think' and not just 'memorize' to solve problems. I am able to determine the appropriate amount of effective support each student needs to help them successfully complete individual research, presentation, and/or projects.
