The story of Helping Hands Ministries in the words of our founder, Mbogo: (edited)
"I lost both my parents in a car accident and I was abandoned. I went up on the streets of Kampala for 5 years until Pastor Kateregga adopted me into his orphanage and inspired me to start a charity home when I grew up. I started up with 5 kids. Right now I take care of 35 kid who are both orphans and street children."
We currently serve thirty five orphans and street children in Kasubi, Kampala, Uganda. Theses children are provided with food, shelter, and health care. Our founder, Mbogo (Simba), is their caregiver. We are a christian based organization and live out our belief that every child is loved by God.
Programs:
Our main focus is our orphanage in Kampala, however, we are currently working with a woman who cares for 9 children in a rural village to bring them necessities that will benefit not only them but also the village they live in!
