Hi, I’m Anisha Akter, and I’m a part of the research team of Helping Hands. I’m a junior attending Eleanor Roosevelt High School. I’m from Bangladesh, and I aspire to have a job in the healthcare field. Being part of a nonprofit that provides translation services to immigrants has deepened my commitment to becoming a doctor, as both roles allow me to bridge gaps in understanding and provide essential support to those in need.
Hi! I'm Katie, and I'm part of the research department at Helping Hands. Though I was born in the States, my parents' story was truly moving, as I couldn't be where I am now without them. I love making handmade crafts like paper stars or lanyards, going to pop-ups with my friends, and binging shows (preferably sitcoms). I want to be able to help those who lack education, as I understand that my parents had come to this country for that exact purpose. I'm a junior looking forward to working on this project with such an amazing group of people. I'm so excited to see how Helping Hands grows and so glad to be a part of this.

Hi, I’m Anqi, a marketer of HHI, and I am eager to improve my marketing skills and knowledge through this organization. Now, some things about me are that I love playing badminton, table tennis, and photography! On another note, I resonate with this organization as I am an immigrant and have experienced a language or culture barrier when moving to America. I hope to bring awareness about HHI to immigrants facing educational barriers.

Financial Advisors:
Hey, I’m Triana Trinh. I am part of Helping Hands Immigration as a financial advisor. Even though I was born in the States, everyone I was surrounded by was an immigrant who just came from Vietnam to help support my parents in raising me. I didn’t learn English until I went to elementary school, which led me to not speak to anyone until 3rd grade. Helping others out and making them confident in themselves, especially if they’re in a place where they feel as though they can’t fit in is my desire. Seeing our success in making this non-profit an easy resource for other immigrants will make it known that I have achieved my goal.
Hello! I’m Ivan, one of the financial advisors for the Helping Hands non-profit organization, and I help with the non-profit’s funds and develop some ideas for it. Outside of being a part of this organization, I love to relax, play badminton, or hang out with my friends.
Hi! I’m Faith, a financial advisor of HHI, and I am passionate about making a positive impact in communities. I can relate to this nonprofit as I am a child of immigrant parents, and communication has been challenging for my parents due to language barriers. I want to provide new opportunities and offer support, and this nonprofit was the perfect organization for me to provide education to those in need. I believe that through the power of compassion and collaboration, I am able to empower individuals and assist in building a brighter future for those who are at a disadvantage.
Hey, I’m Afnan, and I’m a junior in high school! I’m a financial advisor at Helping Hands, and I joined this nonprofit organization with the intent of helping immigrants who were once in the same situation as my former friends and relatives. A few things about me are that I love badminton and The Sims 4! As a child of immigrants myself, I can confirm how difficult it is to live your everyday life with language barriers, which further motivated me to join Helping Hands.
