We have extensive experience in designing and conducting courses for government agencies, not-for-profit organisations and private firms.
We provide training in six main areas:
Basic economics for policy makers;
Advanced economics with custom-designed policy applications;
Statistics and Econometric methods;
Analysis of panel data;
Introduction to evaluation for policy makers; and
Advanced evaluation methods for policy.
We design bespoke courses in economics, statistics, econometrics, evaluation and big data analytics.
Our training philosophy is to begin with consultation to identify the needs of the client and their employees and then design training programs to meet those needs, with practical applications and exercises that address the issues the organisation and its people face in their everyday operations. We build from simple models, which assist in understanding examples, to models of more complex problems. We provide in-session exercises backed with readings and exercises to complete outside of training sessions. We reinforce the application of new knowledge with periodic follow-on sessions. When appropriate, we use games and role-playing exercises to help participants understand and better engage with economic concepts. Our statistical and econometric trainings are amenable to a wide variety of software environments.
