Take these actions to get Family Tree Maker (FTM) and Ancestry to sync:
⦁ Open Family Tree Maker: Start your computer FTM application.
⦁ Look for any updates: To ensure you have the most recent version select Help Check for Updates. Install any updates that are available then restart FTM.
1. Select the family tree you wish to sync by opening Your Tree in FTM.
2. Go to File Connect to Ancestry and input your Ancestry account information to log in if you haven't already.
3. Connect Your Tree:
⦁ In the top right corner click the Ancestry symbol.
⦁ Click on Link to Ancestry and Upload. You have the option to link your tree if it is already on Ancestry.
⦁ To link your tree to your Ancestry account simply follow the instructions. You might have to choose between linking to an existing tree on Ancestry or uploading a new one.
