Here at Worcester Connections, our solution is to hold workshops every Thursday to help homeless people achieve skills they would need in everyday simple jobs and build a sense of family-like community.
Ways we can help:
Build a sense of family-like community with homeless people in our program
Bring in a guest speaker to help homeless people gain knowledge
Help homeless people gain simple job skills
Help homeless people get a jump start for gaining a job and better life
By helping these homeless people talk to employers every Thursday and keep in contact with them, they will be able to understand the necessary skills required to get and keep a simple job such as a grocery store worker or a checkout person at a fast food restaurant. The main goal is to have them start small and get a small income then have them move up in the workforce. By bringing in many guest speakers and receiving donations from companies in Worcester we will be able to fund these workshops held every Thursday.
