Citi Online Activation

When you receive a new Citi credit card, activating it is the first step before making purchases. The safest and fastest way to complete Citi activate credit card is by using citi.com/activate, the official Citi activation website. Citi also allows eligible cardholders to activate their credit cards through the Citi Mobile® App or by calling the customer service number on the back of the card. 

Activating your card securely helps protect your account against unauthorized use. Before activation is completed, Citi may ask you to verify your identity and confirm your card details. Once activated, your card is generally ready to use immediately.

Online Activation

• Search the official activation page at https://online.citi.com/US/ag/activate or citi.com/activate.

• Enter your card number without dashes or spaces.

• Follow the prompts to verify your identity, which may include providing the last 4 digits of your Social Security number or your date of birth.

• Once verified, your card will be activated immediately, and you can start using it right away.

Activation via Phone

• Call the number on the back of your Citi card.

• Follow the automated instructions or speak with a representative.

• You may need to provide your card number and personal verification details.

Activation via Citi Mobile App

• Install the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

• Use your Citi User ID and password. If you don’t have one, you can register directly in the app.

• Once logged in, go to the “Services” or “Card Management” section. You’ll see an option to activate your new card.

• Provide the required information (like CVV, expiration date, or OTP sent to your registered mobile number).

• After submitting, you’ll receive a confirmation message that your card is now active and ready to use.
