We can use comparatives to compare things.
Cats are faster than mice.
Science is more difficult than maths.
For adjectives with one syllable, add er .Sometimes the spelling changes.
tall - taller
I'm taller than my brother.
If the adjective ends in consonant, vowel, consonant, double the last consonant
big → bigger
My room is bigger than my sister's room .
For adjectives with two syllables which end in y, take away the y and add ier.
easy - easier
Maths is easier than science.
For other adjectives with two or more syllables, use more.
interesting - more interesting
That book is more interesting than my homework.
The adjectives good, bad and far have special forms.
good - better
bad - worse
far - further
