Our matriarch mare, Friday, has been part of the family since she was just two years old—and now, at 26, she’s the heart and soul of Helldorado Ranch. Steady, wise, and endlessly patient, Friday has taught countless kids to ride, led peaceful trail rides, and even raised a foal of her own right here on the ranch. Her calm presence and deep bond with Sian make her a beloved teacher for our youngest and most beginner riders.
Born and raised on the ranch, Cowboy is Friday’s son and full of playful spirit. He’s known for his silly antics, expressive personality, and big, affectionate heart. Cowboy thrives on attention and connection—he’s the first to nuzzle a pocket or sniff out a treat. While he’s full of energy, he’s also incredibly responsive under saddle, making him a great match for our more intermediate riders looking for a fun and engaging partner.
JD, short for Jack Daniels, is a retired off-the-track Thoroughbred with a gentle soul and a giant heart. Rescued and rehabilitated by Sian, JD has grown into one of our most trusted lesson horses. Though tall and powerful in stature, he’s a calm and comforting presence in the arena—earning the nickname "Eeyore" for his mellow, easygoing nature. JD is a favorite among both kids and adults, and he’s especially wonderful for riders building confidence.
