It's me! Principal Crinkle!
They/Them
That would be me, Principal Crinkle! I'm the one typing away on this site, and giving you all the info on H.E.L.L. High! I was just a simple Shadow Spirit when I thought of this school . . . well, I'm still a Shadow Spirit, but I'd like to think I've grown more mature! Anyway, as a Shadow Spirit, I can easily pass between Hell and the Human Realm, taking the place of any shadow on on any surface. If I'm not in my office, I'm in the Human Realm, studying other high schools and making notes for ours! Everyone's been adapting to the Human lifestyle these past few decades across all realms . . .
If you're originally from the Human Realm, you're probably greatly unaware of the two other realms beside yours. I mean, in order to even reach Hell from the Human Realm you'd need to find a portal or spell from a well-trained sorcerer as a Human. Well, that's besides the point: Let's start first with the Celestial Realm, ruled by the beautiful and powerful Lady Lumen. Human religion usually describes it as Heaven, Paradise, Nirvana, or any other iteration of a place of ultimate joy and peace. As for the actual Celestial Realm . . . I can definitely say it's a lot brighter over there compared to Hell. No, literally, the whole place is full of iridescent lights. The Celestial Realm showcases many stars and moons, which act as lights all throughout the vast land. The ground is an off-white, constantly reflecting the light of the stars. As per Lady Lumen's request eons ago, it's styled after the Human Realm, with countless buildings for various uses, and even some delicacies from all three realms. Each building still holds the signature white glow of the Celestial Realm. However, the sky is exactly what Humans see during nighttime: it's pitch black, but full of individual glowing specks. This being said, Humans can technically reach the Celestial Realm a lot easier than Hell, since it only lies far within Human space. No astronaut or spacecraft had ever gotten remotely close, but we never know what the future may bring! Now, onto life in the Celestial Realm. It's somewhat . . . rigorous? For Humans, it's much like a 24/7 boarding school. You're made sure you are as educated as possible; excelling at every task given to you. Honestly, we've seen a recent increase in Celestial Realm natives who've failed to learn certain assignments, and moved to Hell instead. Though, there are still quite a lot of creatures living in the Celestial Realm, especially those who are royals of their people. Our counselor Osiris was actually supposed to spend a year in the Celestial Realm before he . . . actually, forget I said anything.
Now onto Hell! I'm sure you're at least somewhat aware of life here if you're willing to go to school here, but I'll give you a recap just in case! The ground you walk on is usually a dark red, but some parts are almost like a black, Human concrete. As for our sky, it's completely black. We used to light up the place for those without ample night vision with fire, but we've switched to lightbulbs in recent decades. In the past, we were the exact opposite of the Celestial Realm. This was, and still is, a place for the misunderstood, or those who weren't accepted anywhere else. Elves that never excelled in Archery while in the Celestial Realm, sorcerers who dabbled in too much violent magic in the Human Realm, and even Cyclopes that were born with two eyes are welcome in Hell. While this has always been true, we steered more towards uncontrolled violence instead of giving these creatures a place to feel at home. It wasn't until the past few decades when Lady Lumen's sister, Miss Acer, ruler of Hell, decided to cooperate with her sibling and start fixing our broken community. Since then, we've followed in the Celestial Realm and Human Realm's footsteps, with buildings of all sizes and all uses, with our own hellish twist, of course. Though, it was only in recent years when we decided to build a school. That was our biggest difference we had compared to the other two realms: education. Since I've been present in Hell for just a few decades short of Miss Acer, I've known her for quite some time in passing, and was able to propose the idea for H.E.L.L. High. I still cannot believe how much she adored the idea, but I now think she was just ecstatic to have a reason for Lady Lumen to stop giving her complaints about zero education in Hell. Oh well, here we are now!
