An economist and actuary, I am a Research Director at the Geneva Association, the insurance industry's global think-tank, where I focus on issues related to demographic changes.

From 2020 to 2024, I served as the Executive Director of the Risk Center at ETH Zurich, where I was also an associate researcher in the Chair of Integrative Risk Management and Economics. I hold a doctorate from ETH Zurich.

My academic research refines and uses models for intertemporal preferences under risk and applies them to real-world issues in long-term planning. The goal is to enhance our understanding of decision-making in the context of long-run risks (e.g., aging, illness, climate change). I aim to provide insights for public policy and for the development of new or improved insurance products.

At the Geneva Association, my work revolves around the impact of demographic trends, such as fertility decline and population ageing, on the re/insurance industry, with an eye to product innovation, regulation, public policy, and societal welfare. I have also produced an impactful report on public-private partnerships in disaster insurance.
