TEACHING

 

I started teaching in 1997, as Lecturer at the Department of Sociology of the University of Minho, Portugal. I am Full Professor since 2017. During my career I created several courses for all levels of higher education degrees. Presently, I mostly teach in the subjects of Sociology of Crime, Social Studies of Science and Technology, and Ethics and Data Sciences. As an Erasmus Professor I have been teaching in different Universities in Europe (more recently, Kaunas University, Lithuania and Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma, Italy). Between 2013 and 2017 I was Visiting Professor at University of Rio Grande do Sul  and University of Pernambuco in Brazil.
