Hi! I'm Helen.
Together with my husband, Wayne, we run Salient Books UK. Helen Made Me is part of that enterprise.
Trying to be sustainable and to save money, I've been repurposing old jeans and other unwanted fabric (such as clothing or curtains) for years. Last year (2024), someone suggested I start selling these creations. After some successful trials with friends and family, I've decided to pursue it.

When buying Handmade you are buying more than an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks, months of frustration and pure joy. You are buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someone’s life.
Most importantly, you are buying the maker more time to do something they are passionate about.
