Hello there! My name is Helen Chen (she/her), and this summer I will be your bridge coach! The following semester, I will be a sophomore at Columbia where I am studying Creative Writing and Mathematics. As a first-generation college student, I remember the fear and excitement of applying to college. Being the first person in my family to attend university is tremendous, but the process was not easy. I could not have done it without the amazing people who mentored me in this process and I want to be there for you and your journey as your bridge coach. Through group counseling, individual mentorship, targeted support, and mutual respect, I hope to be a positive, supportive force in your journey.
