High-Efficiency Low Emissions Coal Fired Power Plants

Australia has never been able to accept that technology improves over a 50-year period for some strange reason.

Even with some of the world's most brilliant scientists, Australia just can't seem to understand that technology advances over time.

I know it sounds strange, but unfortunately, it really does seem to be true.

Australia's coal-fired power plants serve as a prime example.

1. Some 50-year-old coal-fired power plants are currently being decommissioned in Australia, which is being watched by Australians.

2. What Australians are unable to witness is the construction of brand-new coal-fired power plants in their place.

The technology associated with plants that were put into operation in 1971 is apparently the reason Australia won't be building new coal-fired power plants by 2023.

Australia's argument that it is not in love with technology created in 1971 fails the pub test because the GTHO Phase III Falcon was built that year.

What would have cost $5,000 in 1971 would cost $1.3 Million in 2023.

Therefore, 1971 must have had some good qualities, or am I wrong?
