I study the collapse and reconstruction of global governance systems. By comparing institutional shifts across national and international borders, I identify the critical drivers of political transformation in the 21st century. My goal is to map how governance can adapt to—and survive—a rapidly changing global landscape.

I hold a PhD from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy), a MA from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (Washington D.C.), and a BA from Richmond University (London, UK).

ACADEMIC POSITIONS

I am a full-time professor in the Post-Graduate Program in Public Policy at the Catholic University of Brasília (Brazil). I held various academic positions in the following institutions: Federal University of Bahia (Brazil),  XianJiotong-Liverpool University (China), Hankuk University (South Korea), University of Barcelona (Spain), University of Lisbon (Portugal), Center for Advanced Studies Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (Germany), Center for Political and Constitutional Studies (Spain), University of Cape Town (South Africa), and Aalborg University (Denmark).
