About me

I am Mohammad Helal Uddin (Simon), a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Louisville, specializing in large-scale deep learning systems, model optimization, and efficient AI deployment. My research focuses on transformer architectures, Vision Transformers (ViTs), large language models (LLMs), and scalable multimodal learning frameworks, with an emphasis on making advanced AI systems efficient, robust, and deployable in real-world environments.

I work at the intersection of machine learning research and production systems, designing end-to-end AI pipelines, building validation frameworks, and optimizing models for edge devices, robotics platforms, and resource-constrained systems. My work has been published in leading venues in robotics and AI, and I actively contribute to advancing efficient and trustworthy AI systems.

Before starting my Ph.D., I earned my M.S. in Electronic Engineering from Kwangwoon University, South Korea, where I worked on multimodal AI systems for behavioral analysis. I also hold a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh. In addition to my academic research, I bring over three years of industry experience as a professional software engineer, developing data-driven systems and scalable machine learning solutions.

I am passionate about building impactful AI technologies that bridge theory and deployment, transforming research innovations into scalable, real-world solutions.
