It was a pleasure to discuss theories of US foreign policy and their continued value for understanding current developments – from the war against Iran to animosities toward the EU to the withdrawal from multilateralism – with teachers specializing in politics and society. 

While many determinants have changed, our theoretical toolkit remains crucial for identifying the relevant actors, interests, and strategies in our turbulent world!
