Hello and Welcome!!! I'm thrilled to be your child's first-grade teacher this year. My name is Ms. Zimmerman, but my fabulous students call me Ms. Z. I know that together we can make this a wonderful year filled with laughter and learning.
I want to take a moment to introduce myself. I have lived in several states, but I am now happy to call Greenville home. I am the proud mama to a spunky, sweet, smart boy named Dale. He keeps me on my toes and young at heart. I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati. I also hold a Master's degree in Science Education and Special Education, which I earned from Concordia University. I have taught 4K, Resource, and am currently a first-grade teacher.
I believe in creating a classroom environment where students learn to support and encourage one another. I believe in creating and maintaining a classroom where everyone feels like it is their classroom. In our classroom, we believe in the power of "yet". We do not say we cannot do something; we say we cannot do it yet, because with hard work, we know that we will be able to accomplish our goals.
