Google Chrome Download Bubble ~UPD~

I'm probably the 572nd person to post/request help for this, but the Download Bubble scroll at the bottom dissapeared with newest Chrome update. Any solution before a few days ago is not working. I want the option to have the download bubble/scroll history at the bottom of the screen.

When you use Microsoft Edge to download a file, there will be a download bubble at the top-right corner. The download icon looks like a bubble and the interface under it will show the name of the file that is downloading, the download speed, the total size of the file that is downloading, how many MBs have been downloaded, and the status of the downloaded file.

The download bubble is also available in Chrome. But this feature is disabled by default. When you use Chrome to download a file, you can see the download bar at the bottom: this feature is automatically available.

Pretty sure this is an issue with Chrome, cause Bubble works on Edge for me. Also, I noticed gmail is acting weird like how bubble is as well on Chrome. However, when I open my gmail app on the phone, everything works fine

Does anyone know how to disable the download bubble in Chrome? I had disabled it a few months ago to move downloads back to the bottom of the page. But in the last update, the bubble came back and the old fix no longer works.

and over the past 8 months the chrome started lifting on just 1 rim, i took the the rims to hot wheel city where i purchased them for $4800 they told me that they see pitting and the chrome bubbling is normal in Michigan especially for (4 year old rims) they told me they can re chrome them for 2600 and a 30 day warranty or i can sell them my rims for $400 and they will give me the same rims i have with the yellow inserts for 1900 with brand new tires?????

That looks like the result of a poor quality chrome plate job or at the very least an area that wasn't prepped properly before plating. Winters are definitely hard on wheels of any finish, and chrome will sometimes discolor/pit from salt and mag chlorides, but bubbling means it wasn't adhering to the surface properly to begin with.

Pretty much not much you can do other than have them stripped and rechromed if you still want chrome. The other option would be to strip/sand the lip and have them painted. Either way you're looking at some kind of refinishing unfortunately.

Exactly what Dylan said. Anytime chrome lifts from an area, it's a result of a bad chroming job or most likely not the correct prep. I know I am just reiterating what Dylan said, but if it makes you feel any better, I own an exhaust company and all I deal with is Chroming. This happens a lot and it's just poor quality. Nothing you can do but restrip and rechrome. And $2600 for a chrome job on wheels is ABSURD. Go somewhere else. Seriously.

No, you can't do that without the whole wheel peeling. When you chrome something, it has almost a seal on the exterior, and once that is broke, it will continue to peel. Chrome would never last through a powder coating process. My advice? Have them strip the whole wheel have the entire wheel powder coated. Easiest and cheapest way to go.

The bubble pop up that displays under the password text fields is not clickable on google chrome for me, and it is extremely annoying. The 1password bubble is not blocked by the google chrome password suggestion or anything, the click is just not functioning. is there a solution to this?

Passing --disable-infobars --disable-session-crashed-bubble works in some versions of Chrome, but, as of Chrome 58, it no longer works. (Removing the --disable-session-crashed-bubble was done as part of this issue; comments there suggest that the flag was intended to test the bubble feature and was not intended as an end-user feature to hide the Chrome warning).

The most reliable approach I've found is to manually edit Chrome's on-disk preferences. Here's how you do this on Linux. (Note that these instructions are for chromium-browser; Google Chrome itself uses ~/.config/google-chrome instead of ~/.config/chromium.)

Actually I run many instances of chrome with different user profile folders. Sometimes I run a script to kill all chrome processes for cleanup purposes. I used to get the annoying dialogs at restart and fixed it this way:

When the icon changes location, the bubble does not automatically move with it.You either need to update the location of the bubble, or hide it. This can bedone inside the onLocationChange method of theIIcon interface.

no longer works, but i found a fix somewhere on the internet

right click on the google chrome shortcut (the one on your desktop) and go to properties

then in the target field (the first field) add:

-disable-features=DownloadBubble

at the end

close chrome and open it back up

if you have a shortcut on the taskbar you might need to remove it and drag the desktop shortcut on the task bar to make a new one that works

I am using Chrime Version 119.0.6045.105 (Official Buid) (arm64) and the option to disable the download bubble has been removed. Looks like this no longer has a work around since the option to disable is now gone.

I have some aged 'blad gear that has started to have the chrome 'bubble' away. One back has it quite bad (as the chrome then wears away), another has none. I have seen other old cameras where this so (eg on the chrome strip along side the viewfinder) but it is clearly not consistent.
