Recording Studios
Recording Studios
All customers who intend to book a session must have a valid KPL library card. The card must be presented to staff upon arrival.
Each booking is limited to a maximum of 3 hours per day.
Customers can have a maximum of 2 booked sessions per week.
Studios can be booked 7 days in advance.
Reservations will be held for 30 minutes after the scheduled start time.
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Amps are not permitted in the studios, but we have amp-modelling pedals that you can borrow.
Food and drink is not permitted.

Yes, there are 3 studios currently available.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Can I bring my own equipment?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your own equipment for use in the studios. Some restrictions apply. See staff for details.
Is there an age limit for the studios?

Customers aged 13 and up can independently book and use a studio. Customers 12 and under are welcome to use the studios but an adult must make the booking, complete an orientation and accompany the child inside the studio.
Can I book a studio if I have fines?
Can I book a studio if I have fines?
Yes, you can book a studio if you have fines attached to your account. However, your library card must have less than $20 owing.
Does the computer save my work?
Does the computer save my work?
No, the computer will not automatically save your project. You are responsible to save your work to your own external storage device before the end of your session.
