I am an Associate Professor of Management and Organization at The Pennsylvania State University. Originally from South Korea, I earned my degree in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to joining Penn State, I served on the faculty in the Strategy Area at Purdue University’s Mitch Daniels School of Business.

My research interests encompass strategic human capital, entrepreneurship, corporate strategy, and their intersection. Specifically, my research delves into the embeddedness perspective to understand how individuals and firms appropriate rent from the value that is created from relational capital. I serve on the editorial board of Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal.
