Privacy Policy — Dicebound: Obsidian Trials
Effective Date: September 28, 2026
Last Updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Dicebound: Obsidian Trials (“Dicebound” or the “App”), receive its notifications, open its privacy page, or contact support. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer responsible for Dicebound, reachable through the contact details above.
Dicebound is a single-player dice adventure game. Its core gameplay and progression work offline without a player account. Certain supporting features use an internet connection, including push notifications, installation and session measurement, advertising attribution, and access to the hosted privacy page.
1. Information Stored for Gameplay
The App stores information on your device to maintain your progress and preferences. This includes:
Heroes, experience, mastery, talents, and unlocked content.
Dice collections, equipment, upgrades, and Gold balances.
Adventure routes, encounters, health, relics, and battle progress.
Dice results, held dice, rerolls, Focus, and Omen choices.
Dice Vault progress, scores, and rewards.
Achievements, discoveries, personal records, and gameplay statistics.
Tutorial progress, audio preferences, haptics, and accessibility settings.
The game maintains a primary save and a local recovery copy. These files are not cloud saves. The current game implementation does not upload their contents to Firebase or AppsFlyer.
Your operating system may include local App data in device backups, depending on your settings. Those backups are managed separately through your device or backup provider.
2. Notifications and Firebase Cloud Messaging
The App uses Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service to deliver announcements and other App-related messages.
Notification delivery involves technical identifiers, such as an Apple push token and Firebase installation or messaging identifiers. These help the services identify the App installation to which a message should be delivered. Message content and associated delivery information also pass through the services involved in sending the notification.
The App requests permission before displaying notifications. Its current implementation enables messaging registration after notification authorization and Apple push registration are available, and subscribes eligible installations to general announcements.
You can change notification permissions in iOS Settings. Turning off notifications does not automatically delete information previously processed by the notification providers.
The App does not currently enable Firebase Analytics. Further information is available in Firebase’s Privacy and Security information.
3. Messages Stored in the App
The message center includes a welcome message and may display announcements received through push notifications.
The App stores message identifiers, titles, message text, received dates, and read status locally. It keeps up to 100 messages, including the welcome message, and may remove older announcements as that limit is reached.
The current implementation does not upload your local message read status as a custom analytics event. The message center is separate from your game save and is not cleared by the game’s progress-reset function.
4. AppsFlyer and Advertising Measurement
We use AppsFlyer to measure App installations and sessions and to understand which marketing campaigns bring players to Dicebound.
Depending on permission settings and available attribution information, processing may involve:
An AppsFlyer-generated identifier.
IP address and general location inferred from it.
Device model, operating-system version, App version, language, and technical network information.
Installation, launch, and session timing.
Available campaign, referral, and attribution information.
Apple advertising and vendor identifiers when enabled under the permission rules described below.
This helps evaluate marketing performance. It does not require an account, and our current integration does not send your name, email address, phone number, game-save contents, individual dice results, or Gold balance as custom AppsFlyer events.
For information about AppsFlyer’s processing practices, see its Services Privacy Policy.
5. Tracking Permission and Your Choices
The App uses Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission system.
If you authorize tracking, the current integration allows AppsFlyer to collect Apple’s advertising identifier, known as IDFA, and identifier for vendor, known as IDFV. Attribution information may be shared with advertising partners enabled in the measurement service, subject to applicable settings and permissions.
If tracking is denied, restricted, or not authorized, the App configures AppsFlyer to disable IDFA and IDFV collection and apply its all-partner sharing filter.
Declining tracking does not disable all measurement or network communication. AppsFlyer may still process basic installation and session information, its own generated identifier, and technical connection information. This information should not be assumed to be anonymous merely because an advertising identifier is unavailable.
You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings. The App reapplies the applicable settings when it starts a subsequent measurement session. Changing permission does not automatically erase previously processed information.
Core gameplay remains available whether you allow or decline tracking.
The App also configures Apple’s SKAdNetwork attribution-reporting endpoint for AppsFlyer. Apple may provide limited attribution reports under its own privacy protections, separately from permission to access IDFA.
6. Opening the Privacy Page
The privacy policy is hosted on Google Sites and opens inside an in-app web view.
Loading the page requires a connection to Google’s hosting services. Those services may receive your IP address, browser or web-view information, request times, and other information normally involved in serving a webpage.
The App uses a non-persistent web-data store for this view. This limits persistent website storage within that view; it does not prevent the website host from receiving requests or retaining server-side records.
Links opened in another app or browser are governed by that service’s settings and policies. Google’s practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Information You Provide to Support
If you contact us by email or telephone, we may receive your contact details, correspondence, and information you choose to provide, such as screenshots or descriptions of a problem.
We use this information to respond, investigate issues, and maintain relevant support records. Contacting support is optional.
Please do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents, or unrelated sensitive information. Check screenshots for personal information before sharing them.
Support communications are processed through the email and telephone services used to deliver them.
8. Accounts, Payments, and Device Access
The current App does not offer player accounts, social sign-in, public profiles, player-to-player messaging, or user-generated content.
Gold is a virtual gameplay resource. It cannot be redeemed for money or transferred to another player. The App does not currently offer in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not collect payment-card or bank-account details. Any App Store transaction is handled by Apple.
The App does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, device camera, or precise location. Its three-dimensional dice scene does not use the device camera.
The App does not currently display third-party advertisements. Advertising attribution described in this policy concerns measuring campaigns that promote the App.
9. How Information Is Shared
Information is processed by the services needed to provide the relevant features, including:
Google Firebase and Apple for push notifications.
AppsFlyer for installation, session, and attribution measurement.
Configured advertising-measurement partners where applicable permissions and settings allow.
Google Sites when you access the hosted privacy page.
Communication providers when you contact support.
We may also disclose relevant information when required by applicable law or a valid legal request, or when reasonably necessary to address security incidents, fraud, or threats to people’s rights and safety.
These services may process information outside your country. Applicable protections depend on the provider, the processing involved, and relevant legal requirements. Their privacy information explains their processing locations and transfer arrangements.
10. Retention and Deletion
Different information is retained in different ways:
Game saves: Remain locally until reset, removed through device controls, or deleted with the App’s local data.
Message-center information: Remains locally subject to the message limit and removal of App data.
Support correspondence: Retained as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, maintain relevant records, and meet applicable obligations.
Notification and attribution records: Retention depends on the service, its configuration, operational requirements, and applicable deletion procedures.
Selecting “Clear all progress” replaces the game save and its recovery copy with a fresh starting state. It does not clear the message center, change notification or tracking permissions, or delete records held by Firebase, AppsFlyer, Apple, or other providers.
Deleting the App generally removes its local data. Offloading may preserve that data, and device backups may retain earlier copies. Uninstalling the App does not itself constitute a request to delete provider-held information.
To request deletion of information processed in connection with the App’s online services or support correspondence, contact us using the details above. We may need limited information to identify the relevant records and coordinate a request with the appropriate provider.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the laws applicable to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related disclosures.
You may submit a request by email with the subject “Dicebound Privacy.” We may request information reasonably necessary to verify and locate your records. You do not need to create a game account to make a request.
Notification and tracking choices can also be managed through iOS Settings. The App does not currently provide a separate switch that stops all AppsFlyer measurement.
Because game saves remain on your device, we cannot remotely inspect, restore, or delete those files for you.
Where applicable, you may also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority.
12. Security
Local files use the App’s storage area and the protections provided by iOS. The App uses HTTPS for its hosted privacy page and the integrated services’ supported communication mechanisms.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device updated, use a device passcode, and protect access to backups.
The local recovery copy helps with some save-file problems but cannot guarantee recovery after device loss, App deletion, or every type of corruption.
13. Children’s Privacy
The App does not request a player’s age or require a child to submit contact information to play. It has no public profiles or player communication features.
However, the notification and measurement services described above can process technical information when the App is used. The absence of a registration form does not mean that no information is processed.
If you believe a child’s personal information has been processed inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and address the matter, including coordinating deletion where appropriate.
Parents and guardians can manage App access, notifications, tracking permissions, and backups through device controls.
14. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when the App’s features, service providers, or information-handling practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before introducing materially different processing.
