Take the previous SEDOL, insert in the beginning a 2-digit country code (which has to be looked up in IBES User Guideline at the section "Country/Currency ") and remove the very last digit. Continue with the Deutsche Bank example, the country code for Germany is 'ED'. Therefore, we obtain the new code 'ED575035'. This is essentially the 8-digit CUSIP/SEDOL identifier used in I/B/E/S.
