The workshop will be an in-person event taking place at the amphitheater of the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa - G.I. Katsigras Museum and will be conducted by Dr. Pietro Roversi, Dr. Marco Mazzorana and Dr. Petra Lucacik.

The workshop will focus on structure determination of difficult cases of biological macromolecules with the CCP4 program software package. Among the topics to be discussed are: ab initio phasing, heavy atom derivatization, crystal twinning, model building strategies for low resolution crystallographic data sets, assessing data and model quality e.t.c.

The workshop is intended mainly for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and early career scientists in the area of structural biology. Some experience of crystallography and data collection is expected.
