Quote of the day: I've realized that the most important thing I can do to look good is just treat myself well, whether it's getting a nice, long massage or just lying low and not going out every single night.
Why Massage?
Stress? Sports injury?
Did you know that most pain comes from the soft tissues? Tight and sore muscles that cause headaches, body aches, and even sharp pains. Use our sports trained therapists to relive the pain and feel better today! This is not a “salon” pet and paint massage. You will feel better long after the massage is over.
Exhale!
One of the biggest, most profound benefits of massage is the relaxation that happens in your nervous system. Our hectic daily lives are filled with “fight or flight” stress that pumps adrenaline through our body. If you don’t unwind, that stress builds up in your muscles. An expert massage resets your nervous system to “healing” mode and you sleep and breathe better allowing your body to heal from daily stressors.
What is a Medical Massage?
What is a medical massage? Simply put, it’s a half hour massage just focused on a region of the body instead of the whole body.
Each therapist is trained in treating various sports injuries and medical conditions to give lasting relief and pain reduction. Whether its your shins, shoulders, back or neck, you will have a focused soft-tissue massage from each of our therapists who are trained by a board certified sports physician.
The kinesio tape (KT) is a taping technique that nowadays is frequently applied in pathologies in the musculoskeletal system, especially in the field of sports injuries ( Zajt-Kwiatkowska et al., 2007 ).
It can be applied theoretically to any muscle or joint of the body and has the characteristic of limiting Range of Motion and fascia overloading ultimately promoting healing while allowing the person to retain use of that muscle group.
