We are four students who built this website while working on a research-based class project at the University of Connecticut. We are primarily interested in the impact of climate change on health. Together, we represent a diversity of majors and backgrounds, but are united by the motivation of understanding how health is linked to climate.

Herein, we focus on the effect of urban heat islands, or climate change-induced heat waves on urban environments, and the corresponding impacts on city residents’ health. We are also ultimately interested in the knowledge and perception of this issue amongst college students.
