Heather Jung, Entertainment Design - ANIMATION 

Hayeon Jung, also called Heather, was born in South Korea in 2002.

Currently, she studies abroad in California at ArtCenter College of Design. 

Since Heather was young, she has been happy to see animations that embody endless imaginations

that transcends reality. In particular, she was moved by the animation called Coco. The reason why she likes it is because animation can bring her deep messages while comfortably approach her as a great attraction. Therefore, at that time, she decided to work in the Animation industry as her future career. 

When she was 14 years old, she started art professionally. Before that, her major was fine art at Seoul Art High School. In the past, her goal was to go to famous universities in Korea, so she only focused on

drawing pictures for typical and stereotyped Korean entrance exams. However,she wanted to search for her dream. Therefore, she registered at an animation academy in Canada to explore her dream and set goals., and at school Later on, she began to participate in art classes where she could demonstrate her creativity. Throughout those periods, her painting style completely changed from fine art to animation style. Since 2021 Heather has learned the animation basics step by step in order to support and build the foundation of learning in the fall semester of 2022. The process was tough and challenging. In the 2022 Fall semester, she finally got accepted to ArtCenter College of Design as an

Entertainment Design major for Animation.

Her academic goal is to learn the elements, ( such as technology, and expressiveness,) that make her animation more immersive, enjoyable, and touching. The animation should be harmonized from character design to acting, sound effects, and impressive storylines. In addition, she would like to lay the foundation for this at ArtCenter College of Design. Furthermore, she wants to be a professional and talented animation director like Tim Burton after graduation.
