I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Miami University in 1998. I moved to Boston in 1999 and began working in the residential program at New England Center for Children (NECC), which provides comprehensive educational services to children with autism. While continuing to work full-time at NECC, I completed my Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis through Northeastern University.
In 2007, my husband Steve and I welcomed our first child, Harper, who is now a freshman at WHS. In 2009, we had Cooper, who is now a 6th grader at TMS. In 2010, we moved to Westwood to be in a high-achieving district as our children approached school age. In 2012, we had Quinn, who is now a 4th grader at Martha Jones.
I have continued my work at NECC and currently am the Director of Administration. My job has always brought me joy and fulfillment being part of the education and success of an extraordinary group of students and their amazing teachers and support staff. In 2020, my responsibilities expanded due to the pandemic and I became a leader of our Emergency Management Team and have continued that role for the last 2 years. We have kept our residential program open throughout the pandemic and continue to provide in-person education while prioritizing student and staff safety.
You will find me most evenings and weekends doing my two favorite activities, cheering on my children from the sidelines or walking around Westwood with our two dogs, Milo and Moose.
