Hearth respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Hearth mobile application.
Hearth collects only the information you choose to provide while using the app, including:
Journal entries and written reflections
Photos and media you upload
Dates and timestamps associated with your entries
App preferences and settings required for functionality
Hearth does not collect sensitive personal identifiers such as government ID numbers, financial information, contact lists, or precise location data.
The information you enter in Hearth is used solely to:
Store and display your personal memories and entries
Enable features such as timeline views, editing, and reminders
Support backups, exports, and data recovery features you initiate
Improve app stability and reliability
Your data is not sold, not shared for advertising, and not used for tracking across apps or websites.
Your data is stored locally on your device by default.
If you enable cloud backup (such as iCloud), your data is securely stored in your personal cloud account and remains tied to you.
Hearth does not have access to your cloud-stored content.
You may export your data at any time using the in-app export features.
You may delete individual entries or all data from within the app.
Deleting the app from your device will remove locally stored data.
Hearth may use limited third-party services only to support core app functionality, such as:
Cloud backup services you explicitly enable
Basic app infrastructure and performance monitoring
These services do not receive access to the content of your memories beyond what is required for functionality.
Hearth does not track users for advertising purposes and does not share personal data with advertisers.
Hearth is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
