These classes offer children a chance to connect to their body and their breath in a playful and safe way through yoga postures and breathing techniques.  Studies have shown that yoga increases focus and concentration and offers techniques to calm the mind in people of all ages, especially children.

Each class will consist of 5 parts including connect, breath, movement, focus, and relaxation. The goal is to empower students to connect to themselves and others, to use breath as a way to calm the body, to move in safe ways to stretch the body & increase heart rate, to focus the mind, and to relax.  Children will learn strategies on how to: access the calming power of breath, develop focus and concentration, feel strong and confident through physical movement, and nurture themselves through relaxation.
