Meet the Hearoes Team!

Georgia Reinhard is a Senior Majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with Minors in Deaf and Hearing Sciences and Disabilities in Society. She plans to pursue a career as a medical speech-language pathologist. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, going to the beach, and spending time with her friends. This is Georgia’s second year being involved with Hearoes for hearing and she is very excited to serve as this year’s Director!

Ella Prince is a Junior Majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Minor in Deaf and Hearing Sciences and Anthropology. She plans to pursue a career as an audiologist. She is a certified substitue teacher, and in her free time, she enjoys to read! This is Ella’s first year being involved with Hearoes for hearing and is very excited to serve as this year’s Assistant Director!

Leah Greenwell is a sophomore majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with three minors in Disabilities in Society, Deaf and Hearing Sciences, and Dance. She plans to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist. Outside of class, she enjoys dancing, watching movies, and drinking coffee! She is super excited to serve as sponsorship chair for Hearoes this year!

Aurpa Rahman is a junior majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She plans to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist. Outside of class, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and trying new foods! This is Aurpa's first year on Hearoes Board. She is very excited to serve as sponsorship chair for Hearoes this year!

Aubrey White is a sophomore majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Deaf and Hearing Sciences. She plans to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist. Aubrey is a current volunteer with UF Health. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, photography and coffee! This is Aubrey’s first year on the Hearoes for Hearing board as a Promotions chair. She is excited to serve this organization and make an impact through promotions! 

Amanda Calkins is a junior majoring in  Public Health with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She plans to pursue a career as a pediatric speech-language pathologist, working in the school setting. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, playing board games, and spending time with her friends and family. This is Amanda’s first year on the Hearoes for Hearing board, and she is thrilled to raise awareness for this organization through promotions!!

Irene Martinez is a sophomore in the UF Innovation Academy, majoring in  Psychology: Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience, with minors in Linguistics and Economics. She plans to pursue a career as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. Irene is Spanish and Venezuelan and speaks fluent spanish. She is involved in undergraduate research, loves to read, and enjoys going on walks and runs. This is Irene's first year being involved with Hearoes, and she is very excited to serve as Amigos Co-Chair.

Maya Lopez is a senior majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a double minor in Education Studies and Disabilities in Society. She plans to pursue a career as a pediatric speech-language pathologist, with an emphasis on bilingual care. Outside of NSSLHA, she is involved with the Member Leadership Program of the Hispanic Student Association, UF Mindfulness Student Advisory Board, and is a member of Dr. DiFino’s Bilingual Language Access and Outcomes (BLAO) Lab. In her free time she enjoys reading, exploring art museums, and going on new adventures with friends. This is Maya’s second year serving on the Hearoes Board. As Amigos Co-chair, she is excited to build cross-cultural friendships and guide the program toward another impactful year!
