Meet Dr. Wendy Shiau

Dr. Wendy Shiau is the doctor in WS Audiology Services. She graduated with both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Dr. Shiau had over 20 peer reviewed scientific publications while she was in academic setting. Her expertise is in hearing diagnostics and hearing aids; she also has unique expertise in electrophysiological measures as a result of her graduate research.

Dr. Shiau has worked in the field of audiology since she graduated in 1994, and she has practice in the Metropolitan Washington, DC for over 15 years; she works with patients of all ages including hearing impaired person and individual with diseases in auditory mechanism. The doctor truly desires to help patients live life to the fullest and enjoy the sounds and experiences that they have been missing. She enjoys giving presentations to her peers and to the community on topics related to hearing health and technology.

Dr. Shiau is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and American Speech-Hearing Association. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in community, hiking, painting, singing, traveling, and trying new adventures.
